If you are consistent and really push yourself you will see the results. I like it because it's only 20 minutes a day and a very well-rounded work out aimed at getting results fast. JUST BE CONSISTENT AND PUSH YOURSELF! I LOVE IT!

I have a busy life after working business hours. This DVD has made working out easy for me to fit into my life. I really enjoy the workouts and feel amazing at the end of each one. I look forward to working out each day. I noticed a huge difference in my endurance and overall well being within the first week of using the 30 Day Shred DVD. Jillian gives you the confidence you need to do the workouts.

Since I am a working mom, my living room is my gym and I own a lot of workout DVD's. This one is my favorite one because I feel I can get a great, full-body workout in a very short amount of time.

There are 3 different workouts on this DVD, all about 25 min. each. They progress from "easy" to "difficult." If you have never worked out with Jillian before, I suggest you watch each workout before actually doing it. She does not provide much instruction, so make sure you are comfortable with each move before doing it. She does provide a model to follow for easier and more difficult versions of each exercise.

I have owned this DVD for over a year and it helped me to get back in shape after my first baby and I'm using it now after having my second baby. I highly recommend this DVD for anyone who wants a great workout and for someone looking to get into better shape.

This is JUST what I needed. I am not trying to lose weight, but rather gain definition and tone, particularly in the thigh, buttocks, and hip area. I am 5'4", 119 lbs., so my weight is right on, but for the longest time, all I wanted was to gain muscle definition and improve fitness. I was thin but totally OUT OF SHAPE- Not good.

I have four children and for the longest time I made attempts at being commited to exercising, only to last a month or so at best. In the past I have tried different DVD's, but due to knee problems I try to stick with lower impact moves.

My New Year Resolution for 2010 was to get stronger, leaner, and fit. I bought the Fluidity bar and videos and enjoyed them, so decided adding to the collection, along those same lines, and bought The Bar Method DVD's, The Lotte Berke DVD's,and the Core Fusion ones too(love these), and some Yoga. These are all great, particularly for gaining flexibility, and I definitely got some visible definition, but not to the degree I wanted, eventhough I had been working out since January 2010, at least two to three times a week on a bad week, and as much as five times a week on a good week. Still, I felt I needed more to get the results I wanted.

I then tried the Insanity workout. Sadly, I could not go on doing it after two weeks; too intense and too high impact for my knees, but I will say for the first time I saw my body fat percentage drop from 26% to 23% in those two short weeks, so I knew it was working. Interval training definitely works wonders.

I went back to my beloved, though not as effective, and can get boring, Bar related videos. That's when I found that Time Warner Cable had Exercise TV on demand for FREE!!:):), and it was an awesome discovery, since I can vary workouts as much as I want without buying a ton of DVD's, and they have workouts as short as 10 minutes to about an hour, to fit on any given time of day. I was intrigued by the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, because she has the type of body I want, i.e., fit and strong, yet curvy. So I tried it......I could do most of the video as I have been working out regularly, with the exception of the push ups- which I could only do five or so normal ones, and then switch to modified--

I found it intense but quick, and fast paced (A GOOD, ANTI BOREDOM THING)....Also, I find Jillian a great motivator, and she's definitely not wimpy nor is annoying in any way.

24 hours later....VOILA!!!....MY WHOLE BODY WAS SORE, PARTICULARLY THOSE AREAS I HAVE WANTED TO TONE FOREVER, unsuccesfully:) YEAY!! I mean, with all the different workouts I have used, I never had sore inner thighs like this, nor as sore shoulders and upper arms, sore legs, and SORE BUTTOCKS:):), etc.. I can tell it worked out areas/muscles that most others have missed, and the innner thigh has always been a particular area of concern. I was SO SORE, I could not work out the next day.

I was very hungry the next day all throughout the day, and I could tell it was my body needing protein to build muscle, so I made it a point to eat quite a bit more lean protein that day.

I skipped a day and did it again, and the soreness was felt right after the workout. Eventhough I have only done it twice, I can tell I will stick with it and expect to see muscle definition and improve my fitness. Also, TIme Warner on Demand only has level 1 available now, but I saw that Amazon has levels 2 and 3 for $1.99 each, a very good deal, so I will get it here when I am through with the free level 1 through Time Warner.

The only caution I need to take (or anyone with knee problems): go easier on the knees when jumping, always keep them flexed, and protect them by mindfully checking their alignment on the exercises.... but the degree and impact of jumping here so far is MUCH less than the Insanity workout. I cannot wait to day 30 so I can post the results as a follow up.

This video is so amazing. i can see a difference already and I am only on day 4!! I find her comments make me push and are far from annoying. She gives you modifications for most exercises and as someone that hates to work out I now love it. I am so excited about doing it and feel great afterword. Her warm up and cool down are nice way to begin and end. I am in love with this video! Off to buy her other videos!
