Not for Aspire One 521, 2010-09-01 Just as the title says, this does not fit an Acer Aspire AO521-3530 10.1-Inch Netbook (Onyx Black) that I got. Back to finding memory that works.
Who doesn't love more memory?, 2010-09-01 Like a lot of others, I got this for my EEE, 1005HA-Pu1X to be exact. I run windows 7 on it, and opening browsers and multiple tabs can take a toll on the little guy. The ram installation was easy, and there was no need for any BIOS nonsense. I can definitely tell the difference in its multi tasking capabilities. As for gaming, (I play WoW on it), it didn't really make any difference. WoW's graphics and performance is probably more related to the graphics hardware (gma 950) than memory.
But chyea, I'm happy with it!
Crucial 2GB 256Mx64PC2-5300 CT25664AC667 DDR2 200-Pin SODIMM Laptop Memory, 2010-08-31 This is truly a great product. I purchased this for my HP Mini 210 1030NR netbook that I bought earlier from Amazon.com. At first when I installed the module it caused the computer to keep restarting and I hoped it wasn't defective. Then I realized it may have just been because the BIOS was outdated. Surely enough that was the source of the problem. Once I updated it and reinstalled the module it breezed right on into Windows 7 Starter. Now I have a speedier netbook without having to worry about it freezing up and moving sluggish on me during usage.
I recommend this product greatly but just be sure to update your BIOS first prior to installation to prevent the computer not recognizing it fully.
My bigger memory, 2010-08-31 I needed more memory in my little Acer, than came with it.
It installed easily and saw it as soon as I turned the
computer on.
Planning on getting one for my 17 " laptop also.
Good and necessary upgrade for my netbook, 2010-08-29 I purchased the Lenovo S10-3T 85U version which came with Win 7 Home Premium. I needed to upgrade my RAM so my unit would run more efficiently and I could take better advantage of the OS and its multitouch functions. It's the design of the unit that makes the upgrade easy. The card comes in standard plastic packaging, it snapped it quickly and it was recognized immediately by the system. Working with programs and browsing the Internet are so much faster. For better performance, I highly recommend this upgrade.
