A Bore, 2009-01-07 This must have been a PR piece given to people who worked on the A380.
The real information about the plane is missing. Save your money!
The BIG Airbus, 2008-11-30 I have had an interest in the Airbus 380 aircraft from the time it was first conceived as an air transport option giving large passenger and freight capacities over long distances at economic costs. I already had a copy of 'Airbus 380 - Super Jumbo of the 21st Century' which describes the planning, construction and test flight processes, and I found the second book with its extensive photograph collection a very good supplement to the first one. The way the author went about obtaining the photographs is an entertaining story also. Together the two volumes have furthered my interest in the big plane, and if the opportunity to travel overseas becomes possible in the future, I will endeavour to choose a route that will include at least one trip aboard it.

Few but very interesting text and tons of images : A perfect gift book !, 2008-01-12 The trouble with aviation books is that they are often too technical with miles of texts but only inches of pictures while an aviation lover is amazed by the beauty and elegance of a plane ! David Maxwell wrote a book with inches of texts which are straight to the point and very intesting to read while there are miles of outstanding pictures and this makes this book both informative and very artistic.
For those who are intestested in very detailed technical information about the Airbus A-380 and its tests, there are enough ways to find out about that (Discovery Channel, Google, ...) but this is not what Mr D. Maxwell was aiming. The titles says : " Airbus A-380 Superjumbo on World tour" and when you stick to the title a wonderful job has been done to describe this event in a narrative way with also some technical background. "The average aviation fan" - and I belong to that group - (!) will definitely find this book quite remarkable ! Highly recommended !
not worth it, 2008-01-10 this book is simply not worth it. if you want a picture of airplanes then this is perfect for you. otherwise there is really no sense buying it. no information, history, no tech stuff, nor anyother type of info.
