This is no substitute for reading the Robot City novels, but it is entertaining to see the characters illustrated in comic book form. This is not an exact scene by scene adaptation of the books, but it feels fairly faithful to the original story line. Unfortunately the design of the book could have been better... you can see how things went awry with panels reproduced at different sizes (you can see the difference in the size of the sometimes faded lettering) and laid out on an ugly and distracting background picture. However, the artwork is pretty good. I assume the sometimes blurry looking b&w reproductions don't do justice to the original art. I guess it didn't sell many copies since apparently there was never a sequel. If you want to know what happens next you have to read the novels. So to sum up, I enjoyed it... so I'm giving it four stars even though this review doesn't sound that great. I have to admit it is a flawed effort, but they're only charging a penny for the book on Amazon... I'd say that's a bargain!

This is the comic version of The first Robot City novel. I am not against comic books, but this one is poor. The "Data Bank" in the back of the book was copied from the first Robot City book.
