Editorial Review
Product Description
The story the national media refused to cover: the massive evidence of frauds and improprieties that swung the 2004 presidential election to George W. Bush and why it can happen again.

In Fooled Again, renowned media critic Mark Crispin Miller argues that it wasn't "moral values" that swung the 2004 presidential race-it was theft. A huge array of anomalies, improper practices, and blatant violations of the law in state after state all happened to swing in the Bush ticket's favor.

Fooled Again not only gives abundant evidence of theft, but also describes the mind-set among both the major parties and the media that could easily allow it to happen again in 2006 and 2008.

Miller's indictment is right on. Bush Inc. stole the election in 2004 (and 2000). But Miller's reform leadership is a flop. Paper ballots? A joke! We've had over two centuries of cheating with paper ballots. And, why are we still trekking to the polls in November? That's OK in California, and other balmy states, but its bad weather in the rest of the country.

We can have air-tight security, and vote from home, or by phone from anywhere!

International banks transfer Billions of dollars per day around the world, without losing a red cent. Their opt-in software can be adapted to a secure national network for Internet voting.

This can be set up to avoid all Big Money and insider domination. All the specifics for setting up this plan are in The New Election Game, here on Amazon.

Mark Crispin Miller's 'Fooled Again' is a notable and worthwhile read when he sticks to the facts of the 2004 elections and the widespread problems encountered by voters in Ohio and elsewhere. Crispin's thesis, that voter suppression was practiced routinely by the Republican Party in 2004 and perhaps earlier, is documented compellingly and informatively in 'Fooled Again'.

That said, Miller periodically descends into shrill denunciations of the GOP and the Bush Administration that undercut the effectiveness of his narrative. Had the diatribes been cut, 'Fooled Again' would be a stronger read.

Bottom line: worthy of your time, but skip the portions heavy on rhetoric.

Tip: For another, extremely worthwhile, look at the 2004 election, try "Was the 2004 Election Stolen?" by Freedman and Bleifus.

I found it partisan, disingenuous at times, really depressing and with a tendency to frost the cake when making accusations. Felt similar to listening to a liberal version of Rush Limbaugh.

With moves straight outta reconstruction hell, our home grown band of respectable national thugs and their sycophants have wrested control of the estate and are preparing to do so for a long period of time. The investigative prof has researched and pulled information from a wide variety of resources including Congressman Conyers report, to expose the scourge. Apparently these folk were prepared, organized, well monied and before the opposing parties knew what happened the nouveaux reconstructionist were off and running, planning and capturing the next election. The grand theft of two elections unfolded in various ways in various locales but it was nation wide. Paid gangs were sent outta Texas to harass and control the population, the motor voter bill was made impotent by the trashing of paper work from legit signees, expatriates paperwork never arrived, on college campuses students were led to believe they were supporting a cause but actually were signed up for the party, or not at all in some cases, voting machines logged in the wrong candidates, along with countless other improprieties and crimes, the list of which would exceed your average report...the madness didn't stop with the pawned...the fourth estate sat by and did nothing while the benefiting corporations made millions calling in political favors, the result of which set the estate back approximately 200 years or maybe further say.... back to the crusades? ....No wonder Mr. Franken has so much fodder for his work...Whatta civics lesson...

Mark Crispin Miller's eye-opening FOOLED AGAIN is not a book to enjoy and then lend to a neighbor. Rather, FOOLED AGAIN is a call to action. When Aeschines spoke, they said, "How well he speaks." But when Demosthenes spoke, they said, "Let us march against Philip."

Bush Republicans stole the presidential votes of 2000 and 2004 as well as other recent elections where Republicans had "upset" wins, as the exhaustively researched FOOLED AGAIN documents. The corporate media, beholden to Bush for relaxed FCC regulations as well as corporate tax breaks, chose not to report it. And the Democrats, who belong to the same country clubs as the Republicans, send their children to the same private schools, and accept the same corporate campaign contributions, shrugged, as it's all in the family anyway.

Please don't leave Mark Crispin Miller's FOOLED AGAIN at, "That was a good book." Take it as your marching orders. As I write this on August 25, 2006, the good people of Mexico are in the streets, marching against the Mexican power elite that is trying to steal that country's presidential election. The United States may require the same level of citizen participation before we can once again believe vote counts. It's up to you - and that means now.
